Moroccan Non Sequential Intense Experiences

Snapshots – Part One – Trip to the Sahara Desert

Atlas Mountain monkey business
Atlas mountain village
Surprised to see snow in Morroco
The river oasis’s were extensive. The villages were built on the side of the mountain, not in the basin itself. That’s where the gardens and date palms were.
This picture and the next are at the location where Game of Thrones was shot. The blue sky here is noticeably different. It is very intense!
Getting ready to glissando down the sand dune
Easiest way to travel on the Sahara at Merzouga.
Berber in charge of our camels.
Sunrise on the Sahara. Our night in the tent was lovely. Frost on the dunes.
Our transport did not breakdown until we were only 25 km from Marrakech. Taxied in from there.

It is hard to imagine frost in the Sahara Desert. I thought it was always very hot. Looks like so much fun and interesting. Thanks for taking us along with you.
