The food here in Morocco is mild. The spices seem to be a mild blend of anise, cinnamon and maybe cardamom. the portions are also smaller here than in Portugal. Portuguese dishes could have a big whole fish or a big chunk of beef whereas we never saw anything like that here. Tagine cooking is common here. I have also had a number of “pastilla”meals. . This is a pie made with phyllo dough and then stuffed with meat and vegetables.
We have gone cold turkey from alcohol here in Morocco. In Portugal we had delicious cheap wine and the beer called Super Bock with many meals. Here in Morocco we have enjoyed immensely Moroccan mint tea. In both countries the coffee is superb.

Delicious emergency rations.
