Last days in Porto. December 12, 2024

The general familiarity with the city Center made our last few days here somewhat carefree. It was enjoyable being out on the streets, focusing on what was happening around us instead of focusing on where are we and how can we get to where we want to go. It has been a heartwarming experience feeling like we were part of the populous and enjoying the holiday festive atmosphere.

Before the fado at the monastery we were served a liquor made by monks

Traditional meals. I had sardines and Louise had cod with chips.

A puppet show for children to celebrate Christmas.
In line waiting to go ice-skating.
All events are free. This line is people waiting to take their children for a ride on the merry-go-round.
The flute player gave this little girl a Direct concert of Christmas Carol.

What are the temperatures there? People seem pretty dressed up. Lovely city and events. Linda B

    1. it is quite cool. In the low 50s the last couple days. This may be the coldest place on our trip.

  3. great trip. Thanks for sharing. I remember you, Louise, wrote the diary. How were you lucky enough to find a traveling partner to take pictures and create a detailed story. Lucky you
