The Douro River and bridges of Porto

Narrow and steep

This is a traditional tail boat, which was used to bring the port wine barrels to the caves where they were stored for aging.

There are six bridges over the Douro River in Porto. The one in the foreground was designed by Eiffel from France and built by the Eiffel organization.

My namesake, St. Charles Borromeo. this picture was taken in the catacombs under the most gilded cathedral we’ve ever seen.
